Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Illinois, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1857. In 1890, efforts were made to enlarge the church’s basement, reflecting the growing congregation’s needs. By 1905, the church celebrated a significant milestone by burning the bills to symbolize the elimination of its debts. Throughout the early to mid-20th century, Antioch Baptist Church remained active in various community and religious initiatives, including organizing a Parent Club in 1949 and integrating religion into everyday living by 1957. Today, the church continues its mission under the leadership of Rev. C. D. Stuart, serving the Decatur community from its location at 530 West Mound Road.
